New Feature: Trading for Everyone
Stage ideas in a cart, review every order, and execute from the cart or right inside Thetix chat. Nothing trades automatically. You confirm every order. Trading is now live for everyone.
Every trade has two halves: the decision and the execution. Until now, Thetix only helped with the first half. It would surface the opportunity, walk you through the math, and help you size it. Then you would open another tab, log into your broker, and retype the whole thing leg by leg. Strike, expiration, quantity, limit price. The last mile was manual, and the last mile is where hesitation, stale prices, and fat-fingered typos live.
Today that gap closes. Trading is now live in Thetix, and it is available to everyone.
Before anything else, the part that matters most: nothing trades automatically. Thetix never moves your money, changes your account settings, or places a trade you didn't confirm. No auto-trading. Your brokerage connection stays read-only by default, and you authorize trading only when you want to execute. What changed is simple: when you decide to act, acting is now a review and a confirmation instead of a trip to another tab.
The Trade Cart

At the center of it all is the trade cart. Stage ideas in a cart, then execute from the cart or right inside Thetix chat. Anywhere Thetix shows you a trade, whether it's an opportunity card, an idea from your daily report, or something you worked out together in chat, you can add it to the cart with one click.

Staging never places an order. The cart is your workbench: every trade shows its legs, the net credit or debit, the capital required, the max loss, and how much of your portfolio it uses. Covered trades show exactly what covers them, like the shares backing a covered call. You can resize with a click, and multiple accounts stage side by side, each with its own totals and its own execute button.
Execute Right From the Chat

This is my favorite part. The full cart lives inside the conversation too. Ask Thetix about a covered call, tell it to add the trade to your cart, then say "make it five contracts" and the staged trade updates in place. When you're ready, reply "execute" and confirm. That's the entire distance from research to a working order.
Built for Real Options Strategies

This isn't a stock-only checkout box. The cart speaks options natively: covered calls, cash-secured puts, vertical spreads, iron condors, collars, straddles, and plain stock orders. Rolls get special treatment: a roll executes as a single atomic order that closes your existing position and opens the new one together, not as two trades that can fill apart.
Pricing works the way an options trader expects. Every trade has a limit control pinned to the live quote: tap bid, mid, or ask, or type your own price. Limits track the live mid until you override them, and you can choose day or good-til-canceled. If a price you set drifts away from the live market, Thetix flags it before you place the order.
Works With All Your Accounts

Orders route to your connected brokerage. Manually tracked accounts record the trade at live prices. If you track an account by hand, executing simply books the transactions at the current market so your portfolio, income tracking, and performance stay accurate with no broker involved.
Fills flow back into ThetaEdge automatically, so the position you just opened shows up in your portfolio, your expiration ladder, and your income tracking without any manual entry. If your brokerage is connected read-only today, you can upgrade the connection to trading access whenever you're ready. And if you'd rather keep everything read-only forever, that works too. Trading is an option, never an obligation.
Getting Started

Trading is live now for every user. If your account supports trading, you can enable it with one click in your settings. Open Thetix, find an idea worth acting on, and press Add to Cart. Review it, confirm it, and you've placed your first order without ever leaving the platform.
You decide. Thetix executes what you confirm. That has always been the deal here, and now the whole loop lives in one place.
